Just one year later her family relocated to Europe, where she spent all her childhood and some early adult years in a small town in Germany.
At a very young age her parents separated which drew a strong interest towards writing.
Duchess picked up the pen and began to use her imagination as a way to escape reality, writing short stories and expressing her bottled up frustration
Years after graduating from High School in Kaiserslautern, Germany Duchess decided to relocate in order to go to college.
After a couple years of moving around she found a comfortable place to settle in Savannah, GA. There she attended College with plans of majoring in English Communications and minoring in creative writing.
Ideas of a music career didn't occur until 2008 after she was inspired to write a song based off
a poem of hers called "Lonely Girl".
Her first song was recorded in the attic of her uncle's home studio.
The Duchess fell in love with creating music and then begin to faithfully write and record every week.
By 2010 her 1st mixtape, "Self Introduction" was released online.
A few years later, one of her singles hit the air waves of Savannah's 94.1 and that's when the mcee slammed the drive into overtime.
Duchess dropped 6 more mixtapes between Livemixtapes, Coast2Coast, and Datpiff.
The next year she was invited to host the Battle of the Bands at the annual Stopover fest.
She participated weekly as a freestyle contestant for Hip Hop Night at the Jinx, played as opening Act
to Yung Berg, as well as Khia, and won
Overall Top Freestyle Rapper at Deb Antney's be100 Radio Launch Party in 2013.
Her single "Work" streamed the Indie Top 10 Countdown for weeks at a time which created a heavy online demand.
